If you love a salty and sweet treat, this Keto Peanut Butter Dessert is just right for you. Bursting with all the peanut butter flavor you can handle, in a mousse style serving. Added cream cheese gives it a cheesecake type flair, making it just that much more irresistible.

I am not sure what it is about peanut butter, but it literally checks about every box on the cravings list. It has a sweetness so unique, a savoriness that hits the spot, and a texture that leaves the flavor in your mouth long after you have finished.

I have always thought it to be the best dessert ingredient, second only to chocolate. People have made so many great creations with it, so I would like to throw my hat in the ring. My Keto Peanut Butter Dessert is something I love to make and it is so uniquely peanut buttery!

This recipe uses some of the easiest ingredients and takes next to no effort to make. It is such a light tasting dessert that is perfect for finishing a nice family dinner.

I have found it goes best after some Keto Blackened Shrimp or with a nice cup of Keto Dalgona Coffee. This is also a wonderful dish for the kids to try. I know that my kids really cannot get enough of it. In fact, the whole family craves it most nights! This is a recipe that is going to be around my house for a long time.

How to Make Keto Peanut Butter Dessert

  1. Make the whipped cream - In a cold bowl, whip the heavy cream until it doubles in volume.
  2. Make the peanut butter mix - Mix the peanut butter, sweetener, cream cheese, and vanilla. Mix until creamy smooth. Then mix the two creams thoroughly together.
  3. Chill and eat - Let the mix chill in the fridge for about two hours. Serve and enjoy!

Tips and Variations

  • Storage - Store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Seal in an airtight container, in the freezer, for up to 3 months.
  • Reheating - Do not forcibly reheat this peanut butter mousse. It’s meant to be served chilled, so it can be eaten straight from the fridge. If pulling from the freezer, simply let it thaw on its own.
  • Add hot fudge - You can use this Keto Hot Fudge recipe and add a bit to the top of your peanut butter dip when serving it.
  • Use other chocolate chip flavors - If you want to switch up the chocolate chips, you can use white chocolate, caramel, butterscotch, etc.
  • Pair it with chocolate mousse - Instead of using chocolate chips in the bottom layer, use this Keto Chocolate Mousse instead. It will become a chocolate and peanut butter dream!
  • Make it vegan - You can use vegan cream cheese and full fat coconut milk instead of heavy cream. This will make it a vegan-friendly dish!

Common Questions About Keto Peanut Butter Dessert

Does Mousse Have Raw Eggs?

Some mousse recipes use eggs, but they’re not left raw. However, it’s more common to find mousse recipes that don’t use eggs at all. In fact, most mousse recipes are super easy, take few ingredients, and definitely don’t use eggs.

This recipe is basically a mousse rendition and is so easy to make, it’s hard to believe it’s mousse. Of course, it’s not quite as airy as mousse, but that’s why it’s a rendition and not called mousse.

Is Peanut Butter Good for Weight Loss?

Just any peanut butter isn’t good for weight loss due to the sugar and carb content. However, if you use all natural peanut butter, the ingredients should simply be peanuts or peanuts and salt. Sometimes peanut oil may be included.

Even most of the major brands offer this version of their peanut butter because it has grown in such popularity. So, no, not just any peanut butter is good for weight loss. However, all natural peanut butter can be a nice treat when you’re trying to eat healthy, as long as you don’t go overboard with it.
