How to Make Keto Iced Coffee
- Mix - Add your ingredients to a blender and mix it well.
- Serve - Pour your contents over some ice and garnish with some cinnamon. Enjoy!
Tips and Variations
- Storage - I suggest drinking this keto iced coffee immediately after mixing it up. If you absolutely need to store it, I would place it, covered, in the fridge for no longer than a day without the ice.
- Reheating - You do not need to ever reheat this keto friendly iced coffee since it’s meant to be served chilled.
- Is this like Starbucks? - I suppose you could call this a “keto Starbucks iced coffee.” However, I didn’t make it with that goal in mind, it just ended up being that good, which thrilled me. I will definitely be making this keto iced coffee recipe at home more than buying my coffee.
- Top it with whipped cream - Use a hand mixer to whip heavy cream until thick, then add it to the top of your keto iced coffee recipe.
- Top with chocolate - You can use this Keto Hot Fudge for yet another perfect addition to your keto iced coffee recipe.
- Use other extract flavors - Extracts come in all flavors. If you want to mix up the flavor of your iced coffee a bit, change the vanilla to other flavors like coconut, hazelnut, birthday cake, mint, etc. There are countless options to choose from!
- Heavy cream substitute - If preferred, you can use coconut milk or even almond milk in place of the heavy cream. This may change up the consistency of the drink, but it will still be a delicious iced coffee.
Common Questions About Keto Iced Coffee
What is the Difference Between a Latte and an Iced Coffee?
The key difference between a latte and an Iced coffee is milk. Lattes are served with a healthy portion of chilled milk.
Iced coffees can be served black or with some cream and sugar. Both are delicious, but my recipe is healthier and is perfect for keeping your body in fat burning mode.
Can You Make Iced Coffee with Hot Coffee?
Of course you can! The only thing to watch out for is the coffee will melt the ice at a much higher rate, so you will need more ice than if it was already cooled off. This can lead to a more watered down coffee, which is not always desired.
I like to brew my coffee the night before and let it rest for the morning. However, I know it’s easy to forget to do that and sometimes we need something quick and in the moment.
So, if you don’t like a watered down coffee, add ice to your blender with more coffee.
This should negate the need to pour it over ice when it’s ready to be served. The coffee will melt the ice, so it shouldn’t turn out too much like a smoothie instead of an iced coffee.
