This recipe is so simple that I make it almost on a weekly basis. There are a lot of dinners I really love to serve it with, like my Keto Unstuffed Pepper Skillet. It is also a great idea to serve it alongside some other appetizers like my Dill Pickle Dip to keep the theme going! Whatever your reason for making it, you’re going to have some happy people on your hands. It is healthy and simple; you really can’t beat that combination!

How to Make Keto Jalapeno Popper Dip

  1. Mix ingredients - Mix everything in a large bowl except for the pickles. Make sure everything is well combined.
  2. Serve - Place your dip on a serving tray with some pickles, pepperoni, or salami and enjoy!

Tips and Variations

  • Storage - Store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 3 days. I don’t suggest freezing this keto dip as the cream cheese texture changes.
  • Reheating - This dip is meant to be served chilled or room temperature, not hot. Due to the cream cheese content, I do not suggest heating this jalapeno dip in any manner. Pulling straight from the fridge and serving is perfectly fine.
  • Stir before serving - If you’ve stored the dip for at least a day, give it a good stir before serving or consuming. Condensation has a way of pooling in the middle of the dip while being stored. This is normal due to the cream cheese.
  • Serve them with keto bread - I love making these Keto Everything Bagel Bites to serve with this jalapeno dip. You can also drop the “everything” seasoning and just make plain keto bagels. They’re the perfect size for dipping.
  • Use other cheese options - If you don’t have cheddar or just don’t prefer it, swap out the cheese or don’t add it at all! Some delicious options are pepper jack, mozzarella, gouda, etc.
  • Swap out some of the cream cheese four sour cream - If you want to make the dip a bit softer, you can switch half of the cream cheese to sour cream. This will make it even easier for dipping.
  • Use real onions and garlic - If you want to skip the powder form, you can use fresh garlic and onions. I would suggest tossing them in some butter and cooking them for a couple of minutes first. You’ll also want to give them a couple of minutes to cool before adding them to the dip.

Common Questions About Keto Jalapeno Popper Dip

Do Jalapeno Peppers Go Bad?

Jalapenos and peppers, in general, are a pretty resilient produce. They can store for a few days in the pantry. If they are stored properly in the fridge, they can easily last a month.

You can tell if your peppers are starting to go bad when they start to develop grey or brown spots. They are still safe to eat at that point, but the flavors and spiciness will diminish. If they start to mold it is wise to throw them out!

Can You Freeze Jalapenos?

Freezing peppers is a great idea. They store for several months in the freezer. Simply wash them and store them in a freezer bag. You can even cook them, roast them, and even chop them up before storing them in the freezer safely.
